Ok, today’s icelandic word is

bíll meaning car pronounced biikll

Two letter ls together sounds like the kl of the word klingon. It appears in the middle or at the end of a word.

  1. oy, what happened to words of July 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8? were you too busy looking for the b&w man below? or are you going to reveal to the world, and then follow through with, your new icelandic learning strategy (which i came up with:))?

Well, I would say that “ll” sounds more like “tl”

  2. I actually agree with Le Monde on this one. Beginners, and I mean that will all respect, will start by saying “kl” as in “bíkl”, then “tl” as in “bítl” until reaching perfection in “bíll”, which is ever so slightly different yet the only correct manner of pronouncing it.
